As the Netherland’s premium nail care brand, Pink Gellac’s e-commerce presence didn’t match their reputable industry status. Their Magento site performed poorly, especially on mobile devices - the source of 80% of their online traffic.

Alongside low performance that was costing them customers, Pink Gellac were plagued with maintenance issues that took time and money to fix. Their previous e-commerce focus was simply to keep the store running, rather than investing efforts into improving it and driving the business forward.

They called on us to fix their technical issues and deliver an e-commerce experience that truly reflected their brand identity. We worked in partnership with Numbered Studio for this project to completely revitalise Pink Gellac’s online presence. Between our own development team and Numbered’s expert UX designers, we built a high-performance platform that focuses on customer experience and growth.

Flagship store on Shopify 2.0.

Pink Gellac’s new digital flagship store is built natively on Shopify 2.0 with our own custom starter theme. The Shopify platform is the highest performing platform for e-commerce websites, with regular updates and improvements that keep pushing the bar higher and higher.

Maintenance takes place automatically and is seamlessly integrated into the Pink Gellac store, entirely removing their previous issues. The new store is fast, with minimal loading times on both desktop and mobile devices, keeping customers engaged as they journey from entrance to checkout.

By building on Shopify 2.0 we were also able to integrate Tapcart to build an iOS app version of the Pink Gellac store. With an app loaded onto customer phones, pages load instantly and the checkout process is reached within a single tap. Pink Gellac have far greater control over messaging to their customers, and brand loyalty is already escalating.

They now have a store in place that’s performing at the highest level, giving them the platform to expand the business and grow beyond levels that were previously possible. With two languages and four country options already available on the site, the sky’s the limit with international scaling as the brand are free to add as many more as is required.
