The power of uniqueness.

Their e-commerce store has to match. Having already moved to the Shopify platform when they began working with us a few years ago, 2022 was time for Vanilia to upgrade to Shopify 2.0 for a world-class e-commerce platform that truly matched their brand aesthetic.
Vanilia wanted an online store that could match the experience of walking into one of their retail stores. They wanted an immersive website that delivered an unmistakably Vanilia experience for their online customers. And one that was technically elite, with the flexibility to scale in new directions as and when needed.
The previous store’s performance was lagging behind competitors, ultimately costing them revenue, and the store design felt obsolete. For these reasons we decided to migrate over to Shopify 2.0 and build their new custom theme from scratch. In all our previous work with Vanilia we made small individual tweaks and changes, but now we had the opportunity to start from a clean sheet.
Working from the ground up gave us the opportunity to build custom features for Vanilia, and there are two that we're especially proud. The first is a ‘shop the look’ feature on all product pages, giving customers a more engaging shopping experience. Customers can easily select the full range of items visible in Vanilia's press photos, which has subsequently boosted Vanilia’s add-to-cart and conversion rates. By building the feature ourselves, we kept code weight to a minimum and prevented any negative affects of performance and site speed.
The second is a wishlist feature that customers can use to save products. This encourages customers to return to the store for future visits, improving brand loyalty and growing Vanilia's e-commerce revenue. Whilst most brands would use an external app to manage their wishlist feature, we built a custom, low-weight solution to again protect platform performance and keep the site speed up to our high standards.
With Shopify 2.0, Vanilia are in prime position to integrate whatever new updates may arise in the future of e-commerce. They’re using the industry’s frontline technologies, with a scalable platform that’s primed for international markets.
They have full control over their platform and keep it feeling fresh with new content throughout the year. Without any previous technical knowledge they can build their own new pages and adjust their store without the assistance of external developers.
